AVAA’s Vice President Jane Raffan spoke at the Australian Joint Committee on Law Enforcement, supporting a full ban on rhinoceros horn imports and sale of ivory items regardless of age. Releasing a position on the Australian Ivory Trade to support the UK’s legislation.

The board of AVAA has been considering, consulting and deliberating on the Australian ivory trade issues since March 2017, when attending the International Fund for Animal Welfare industry roundtable on the matter.
